Join us for the “Emerald” 20th Anniversary Legacy Luncheon at Michael’s On East on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  Guests enjoy an hour-long champagne reception in the atrium before a delicious lunch in the ballroom of Sarasota’s only AAA Diamond Award restaurant. Then be inspired and entertained by our special guest speaker Georgia Pellegrini.

‘Finesse and grit’ define Georgia Pellegrini, Radio & TV host, Chef, and modern pioneer. Called “an empowerment guru” by The New York Times, Georgia is a gifted speaker, hosts the PBS TV show Modern Pioneering,” and leads adventure getaways which attract people from South Carolina to South Korea. Her words go “beyond-the-podium” and teach others how to put pioneering principles to use anywhere, from the field to the board room. Trained at the French Culinary Institute, her critically acclaimed books include Food Heroes, Girl Hunter, and Modern Pioneering. Georgia has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Iron Chef America, Today, HBO’s Real Sports, ABC’s The Chew, NPR, WSJ, and hundreds of other media outlets.

Since 2003, Legacy Luncheon has served as the signature fundraiser for the Junior League of Sarasota Endowment Fund, raising over $1 million to date. The strength of the Fund allowed the League to operate during a pandemic. And the Fund made it possible to award $42,000 in grants this year to numerous local nonprofits, helping to address critical human needs in Sarasota County, as well as train the best of Sarasota’s young women to become community leaders.
